VCT 1123 - Interactive Web Design 1

Course Description: This hands-on, project-oriented course focuses on designing and building informative and functional, modern web pages, using industry-standard software and design tools, to meet client needs. Topics include employing the elements and principles of design; using and modifying components of Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML5, and CSS3; and a cursory introduction to JavaScript and jQuery within the design environment.

2. Web page structure, format, and interactivity
3. Exploring the impact of web browsers on design
4. Intuitive navigation design
5. Web page interactivity using Adobe Dreamweaver Behaviors and Snippets
6. Manipulation of HTML attributes and CSS3 properties
7. Integration of Canvas Elements from Adobe Animate into Dreamweaver
8. Modern JavaScript Animation Libraries

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, students will be able to:

5. utilize Adobe Dreamweaver as a design tool.

8. use a modern JavaScript animation library generated by Adobe Dreamweaver.
9. demonstrate how to integrate Adobe Animate with Adobe Dreamweaver.
