Course Description: This course allows advanced computer science students to pursue topics of individual interest that are either outside of the existing CSCI offerings or which go beyond them in depth.

Prerequisite(s): Students must have completed or be currently completing the core of the CSCI curriculum as defined by the core of the AS in Computer Science. Project must be approved, prior to enrollment, first by instructor, and then dean.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course students will be able to:

Demonstrate an understanding of a subfield of computer science not covered in existing CSCI offerings AND/OR
Demonstrate a substantially more in-depth understanding of a topic than is provided in existing CSCI offerings.
