Program Description

The Gender Studies Certificate program offers an interdisciplinary field of study focused on the diversity of gendered experiences across time, cultures, and social/economic classes. In Gender Studies courses, students will critically evaluate assumptions about the role of gender in society, examining its central role in the ways people experience the social world. The program is a valuable addition to any academic field and provides a career advantage in many areas.  The Gender Studies Certificate is an excellent preparation for transferring to a major or minor in Women’s, Gender, and/or Sexuality Studies at other institutions
