Ethical hacking and offensive security skills are becoming a critical discipline of cybersecurity programs for all organizations. It is important that ethical hacking is conducted against organizations to help identify security gaps, ensure protections are in place, and to effectively measure a cybersecurity program’s ability to detect and respond to these activities. Without this skill set, organizations are left to assume that their cybersecurity controls and programs are working effectively and as intended. Students completing this Offensive Security curriculum will develop highly marketable skills and knowledge around ethical hacking that translates directly to real organizations. In particular, graduates will have hands-on experience through classroom labs against a variety of technologies including IoT devices, Windows, Linux, mobile applications, web applications, and more. Students will be able to conduct both fundamental attack techniques as well as more sophisticated threat tactics.
Course placement into MATH 0070 or above, or completion of MATH 0030 or MATH 0060 with a grade of C or higher, course placement into college-level English and Reading OR completion of ENGL 0950 with a grade of C or higher OR completion of RDNG 0940 with a grade of C or higher and qualifying English Placement Exam OR completion of RDNG 0950 with a grade of C or higher and ENGL 0090 with a grade of C or higher OR completion of ESOL 0051 with a grade of C or higher and ESOL 0052 with a grade of C or higher and successful completion of ECT 1001 with a grade of C or higher or proof of current A+ certification or demonstrated, relevant work experience or instructor consent.

At the end of this program students will be able to:
- Clearly explain the ethics of approved and unapproved hacking.
- Create reports based on ethical hacking findings.
- Effectively articulate the impact of discovered vulnerabilities.
- Effectively articulate remediation recommendations of discovered vulnerabilities.
- Explain penetration testing methodologies.
- Install and use basic ethical hacking tools such as Kali Linux, Nmap, and Metasploit.
- Identify and exploit vulnerabilities on a network.
- Identify and exploit vulnerabilities commonly found on web applications.
- Identify and exploit vulnerabilities commonly found on IoT devices.
- Identify and exploit vulnerabilities commonly found on mobile applications.
- Conduct advanced threat tactics against Microsoft Windows environments.
- Simulate sophisticated threat tactics.
- Build and create attack infrastructures for threat simulations.
