Introduction to Century College


Century College, located in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, is one of the largest and most diverse two-year community and technical colleges in Minnesota, serving over 15,500 credit and noncredit students a year. Century College offers over 155 degrees, diplomas, and certificates in various academic areas, including applied design, arts and humanities, business, health sciences, human services, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), social and behavioral sciences, and trade and industry preparing students for employment in high-demand fields or transfer to four-year universities.

Century College is committed to helping students succeed through various academic and student support services, programs, and student engagement opportunities. With one of the State’s lowest tuition rates and financial aid and scholarship options, Century College offers students a great return on their investment. Course delivery methods, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and multi-modal, provide students with the flexibility to accommodate their schedules.

Century College is a member of the Minnesota State colleges and universities system, with 26 state colleges, 7 state universities, and 54 campuses located in 47 communities across Minnesota.  

 

Accreditation

Century College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. This facilitates the transfer of credit to Minnesota universities and colleges as well as to institutions throughout the United States. The college participates in the Open Pathway, one of the Commission’s pathways for maintaining accreditation, focusing on quality assurance and institutional improvement.
