HORT 2051 - Fruit and Vegetable Crops for Local Markets Credits: 3 Hours/Week: Lecture 2 Lab 2 Course Description: Growing and marketing fruit and vegetable crops in the Midwest requires a knowledge of the varieties and methods that are suited to local processing, marketing, and consumption. Increasing demand for local produce offers fruit and vegetable growers new opportunities to increase volume and profit margins and to develop niche markets. Crops covered in this course include small fruits, tree fruits, vegetables, and herbs. MnTC Goals None
