ORTE 2020 - Upper-Limb Fabrication Credits: 4 Hours/Week: Lecture 1 Lab 6 Course Description: This course concentrates on identification of the skeletal structure, joints and landmarks of the hand, wrist, and forearm. The course covers the identification of various types of upper-extremity orthoses and the interpretation of upper-extremity orthometry forms. Students fabricate both metal and plastic hand and wrist-hand orthoses to specific prescription from measurements and plaster models of the upper extremities in the orthotics lab. MnTC Goals None
