PSYC 2780 - Internship in Psychology Credits: 2-3 Hours/Week: Lecture None Lab None Internship For an internship that takes place during Fall or Spring semester, 6-8 hours per week for a 2-credit course or 9-12 hours per week for a 3-credit course may be used as an initial estimate. Course Description: This internship provides students with the opportunity to explore a particular area of interest within the field of psychology. Students will work in a professional environment while applying a variety of psychological theories, concepts, and/or skills. Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from the site. The course may be repeated with faculty consent for up to 6 credits total. MnTC Goals None
Prerequisite(s): Completion of PSYC 1020 with a grade of C or higher. Completion of a second PSYC course with a grade of C or higher. Course placement into college-level English and Reading OR completion of ENGL 0950 with a grade of C or higher OR completion of RDNG 0940 with a grade of C or higher and qualifying English Placement Exam OR completion of RDNG 0950 with a grade of C or higher and ENGL 0090 with a grade of C or higher OR completion of ESOL 0051 with a grade of C or higher and ESOL 0052 with a grade of C or higher.
