PE 1016 - Social Dance Credits: 1 Hours/Week: Lecture None Lab None Course Description: In this course students will participate in the following types of dance: folk, square, line, country, salsa, swing, hip-hop, and ballroom. Emphasis will be placed on the fundamentals of dance and various dance styles. This class is intended for beginning dancers of all ages who have not had formal instruction. MnTC Goals None

- demonstrate basic movement sequences.
- identify the different dancing styles.
