Course Description: This course prepares educators to meaningfully select and use technology such as software, platforms, tools, and apps, to transform learning experiences for diverse student populations. The focus is on the active use of technology through creation, production, and problem solving, including a standards-based ePortfolio. This course is a requirement of the Minnesota State Elementary Education Foundations Transfer Pathway and the Special Education Transfer Pathway degrees to meet Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board Standards of Effective Practice.

Prerequisite(s): Course placement into college-level English and Reading OR completion of ENGL 0950  with a grade of C or higher OR completion of RDNG 0940  with a grade of C or higher and qualifying English Placement Exam OR completion of RDNG 0950  with a grade of C or higher and ENGL 0090  with a grade of C or higher OR completion of ESOL 0051  with a grade of C or higher and ESOL 0052  with a grade of C or higher OR concurrent enrollment of high school students by instructor consent.

Recommendation: Basic ability to operate a computer and use the Internet.
