MATH 0961 - Bridge to College Algebra I Credits: 3 Hours/Week: Lecture 3 Lab 0 Internship hours per week 0 Course Description: This corequisite course provides instruction and support to help students succeed in MATH 1061 , College Algebra. The focus of the course is reviewing fundamental arithmetic skills and introductory algebra skills, and then appropriately applying those skills in a problem-solving environment. Emphasis is placed on the skills needed to achieve the learning outcomes for MATH 1061 . The main objectives are to provide ongoing support for the math concepts taught in College Algebra, and to provide help with study skills, time management, and confidence. The course provides extra support in arithmetic, algebra, problem solving, and technology. Use of graphing technology, such as the TI-84, is required. All students registered for MATH 0961 must be concurrently enrolled in a paired section of MATH 1061 . MnTC Goals None
