CJS 2070 - Private Sector Security and Investigations Credits: 3 Hours/Week: Lecture 3Lab None Course Description: This course covers the historical development of private sector security and investigations in American society. It considers the legal ramifications of privatization and its growing presence in the area of social control and emerging technologies. Topics include the role of private security in the private industry, retail, the judicial system, homeland security, and public safety. MnTC Goals None
Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): None Recommendation: 15 college credits with a grade of C or higher in each course prior to taking this course. Assessment score placement in RDNG 1000 or above, or completion of RDNG 0900 or RDNG 0950 with a grade of C or higher and assessment score placement in ENGL 1021 , or completion of ENGL 0090 with a grade of C or higher.
