HSCI 1027 - Health Support Specialist in Environmental Services Credits: 1 Hours/Week: Lecture 1Lab None Course Description: This course will cover the basics in providing a clean and safe environment in a care facility. Topics include basic housekeeping practices, laundering procedures, and simple maintenance tasks required within the guidelines of organization policies and procedures and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), state, and federal regulations. Prerequisite(s): Nursing Assistant Registered (NA/R) Acceptance within three months of starting classes into the HSS program with approved contract with chosen organization for apprenticeship. Corequisite(s): None Recommendation: None
