INTD 2080 - Feng Shui for Interior Design Credits: 3 Hours/Week: Lecture NoneLab None Course Description: This course is designed as an introduction to the Chinese concept known as Feng Shui and how to use these principles as an interior designer. Topics include basic Feng Shui principles, the Feng Shui approach to architectural and design elements, and Feng Shui for the home, workspace and other commercial spaces. MnTC Goals None

- Feng Shui Approach to Architectural and Design Elements Color, shapes, materials Lighting, sound, signage Art and decorative objectives Plants and landscaping, water features
- Guidelines for Site Selections Residential site selections Business site selections
- Introduction to Feng Shui Solutions used to fix common Feng Shui challenges for design projects
Learning Outcomes At the end of this course students will be able to:
- apply Feng Shui principles to any architectural style or setting.
- use the Feng Shui principles for selecting sites, building layouts, materials, finishes, landscaping, lighting and color
- avoid and/or fix common Feng Shui challenges.
