Program Description

This program is designed to prepare students with broad-based skills-general business knowledge and knowledge of software/hardware technology. Students may be employed in various administrative support positions in business, government, and organizational operations.

Program Learning Outcomes

At the end of this program students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge to create, name, edit, format, store, send, attach, and print typical business documents.
  • Demonstrate the use of a spreadsheet program to analyze, organize, and chart data and present numeric data.
  • Use a database management system to create and edit tables, queries, forms and reports.
  • Make use of a presentation program to create, edit, and enhance presentations suitable for coursework, professional purposes, and personal use.
  • Develop the keyboarding speed and accuracy necessary for employment.
