This program is intended primarily for employment preparation rather than transfer to a four-year institution. Some courses may not transfer to a number of four-year colleges. Program Learning Outcomes

At the end of this program students will be able to:

• Demonstrate, conceptual, and procedural knowledge related to the administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems.
• Comprehend the file system structure and navigation methods.
• Demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to apply critical thinking, troubleshooting and scripting skills.
• Implement basic security methods, such as creating shadow passwords, logging of events, and identifying commonly known trouble spots.
• Demonstrate the knowledge of a Local Area Network layout and configuration methods.
