Program Description
This program is intended for individuals who are seeking an entry-level accounting position. It is ideal for someone seeking an accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll clerk, or accounting clerk position. It is also for those students wanting a base for starting on a longer accounting program.
Program Prerequisites
Proficiency in keyboarding (30 WPM or OFFT 1001 ) - recommended.
Instructor consent or CAPL 1010 or CSCI 1020 is required before ACCT 1030 .

At the end of this program students will be able to:
- Apply and perform skills in accounting for payroll.
- Demonstrate academic skills in accounting skills at an entry level in accounting.
- Demonstrate the ability to think critically to identify and solve accounting problems.
- Qualified for an accounting clerk, technician, bookkeeper, or entry level accountant at certain companies.
