Program Description

Students who earn the Orthotic and Prosthetic Clinical Applications Advanced Certificate will meet the requirements to be employed as an Orthotic/Prosthetic Assistant, Pedorthist or enter a Baccalaureate degree or a Master’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics through our partnership with Concordia University St Paul.

Pre-Application Requirements

Special Application required.

Prerequisites include Century College’s Prosthetic, Orthotic, and Pedorthic Allied Healthcare AAS (Orthotic & Prosthetic Fitter AAS) - OR an equivalent degree from an accredited orthotic and prosthetic program - OR equivalent as earned through credit for prior learning, coupled with a previous Associate’s Degree/Bachelor’s Degree. All applicants, must have completed, or have in progress, the following general education courses with a grade of “C” or higher -  BIOL 1020: Biology Concepts, BIOL 2031: Human Anatomy and Physiology, PSYC 1041: Developmental Psychology, PHYS 1020: Physics Concepts.

It is recommended for students who intend to pursue a master’s degree through Concordia St Paul (CSP) to also complete MATH 1025: Statistics and CHEM 1020: Chemistry Concepts. Students pursuing their bachelor’s in orthotics and prosthetics through Concordia University St Paul, will need to complete Human Anatomy & Physiology at CSP.
