Program Description
The certificate in Advanced Solar Thermal Energy Systems is designed to provide existing contractors and other industry professionals with installation and maintenance skills necessary to become solar contractors.

Must have diploma or degree in plumbing, pipefitting, construction, HVAC or related field, or consent of instructor.

At the end of this program students will be able to:
- Ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.
- An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
- An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply the fundamentals of energy conversion and application.
