Program Note

Students may need to show proof of certification in First Aid and Safety for internship or employment. By completing HLTH 1010 , students would satisfy this requirement.

Transfer, Articulation Agreements, and Partnerships

See the Century College website for information regarding transfer. This program is designed for both employment preparation and transfer. Some courses may not transfer to a number of four-year colleges. If you are considering the possibility of transfer, you may wish to talk with your advisor, counselor, or program instructor before registering to discuss your goals, look at programs designed for transfer, and develop a plan. This program has articulation agreements with Concordia University-St. Paul, Bemidji State University, and St. Cloud State University.

Program Learning Outcomes

At the end of this program students will be able to:

• Students will gain a working knowledge and understanding of the different organizational units and operating departments within the realm of event and facility management.
• Describe the sports management industry and key factors impacting the industry.
• Understand the playability and safe use of facilities.
• Perform as a member of a team in a work environment.
• Perform expanded functions in a sports/entertainment facility.
