Program Description

The Criminal Justice Science (CJS) Intelligence and Crime Analysis Certificate is designed for Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement students and working professionals who have an interest in the field of Intelligence and Crime Analysis. This certificate program provides students with a comprehensive overview of the field of crime and intelligence analysis and demonstrates the methodologies utilized to be successful within a government agency.

Program Learning Outcomes

At the end of this program students will be able to:

  • Analyze lifelong ethical and professional responsibilities of intelligence and crime analysis personnel.
  • Demonstrate effective decision making, critical thinking, and communication skills in written and verbal form.
  • Examine the interactions within intelligence and crime analysis agencies.
  • Understand hiring practices, training evolutions, subcultures, attitudes and orientation of intelligence and crime analysis agencies.
