    Course Description: This course explores the essential, foundational concepts and techniques in the 3D Animation industry. Topics include modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, rendering, visual effects, and creative problem-solving to produce simple 3D content.     Course Description: This class focuses on the creation of 3D animation and developing an understanding of the 12 principles of animation, such as squash and stretch, anticipation, timing, and more. Projects include planning and creating numerous simple 3D animations using these principles as well as the basics of bipedal character movement and facial animation.

    Course Description: This course focuses on modeling and texturing techniques and solidifying skills in these areas. Course activities build on the basics of polygonal modeling, UV Mapping, and goes in depth on topics such as 2D and 3D texture painting techniques, high vs low mesh detailing, and the application of shaders. Projects include developing a variety of hard surface models and differentiating between good and bad topology within the industry.

Course activities develop a modeling toolkit with focus on box modeling, digital sculpting techniques, character topology, and realistic skin, hair, and clothing. Advanced techniques include realistic vs. stylized texturing, retopologizing high-resolution meshes, and transferring details from high-polygon mesh to texture maps.

    Course Description: This course is designed as an exploration of digital photography as a means of visual communication and creative expression. Topics include an introduction to the basics of digital cameras and digital imaging software. Projects address a range of design, aesthetic, and conceptual issues fundamental to the art of photography. Strong emphasis is on the development of both a technical foundation and a critical awareness of the medium as a creative tool. Students will need access to a smartphone or entry level digital camera. The Art department has a limited supply of cameras for student check out.     Course Description: This course introduces the student to reading wiring diagrams and testing common automotive electrical circuits. In this course, students will be exposed to wiring diagrams and how to test power door locks, power windows, the turn and brake light circuits, the blower motor circuits, parking, headlights and dimmer circuits, along with the wipers and washer circuits. Students will practice on training boards and then move into testing and repair on live vehicles. Students must be able to perform physical tasks to complete course requirements.
