Program Description

Companies are in desperate need of individuals with the knowledge and skills to create high quality streaming video and other content for social media and online outlets. This certificate emphasizes the technical skills of camera and light placement, audio level adjustment, multi-camera switching, and how to stream live video. But in addition, this certificate explores marketing and how to use storytelling to deliver an effective visual communications message. Topics include how to use social media to drive traffic to websites and ecommerce pages, as well as how to access site analytics, track advertising campaigns, and deliver follow-up messages.

This program is part of the Visual Communications Careers area and is designed to provide students with the needed skills to enter their careers upon completion. The A.A.S. degree is not designed for transfer to a four-year school. Some of your career-oriented courses may transfer to specific majors at certain schools through petition.
