ADM 2041 - Advanced Additive Processes - PBF

Course Description: This course covers Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) technologies in additive manufacturing.  It focuses on the use and operation of Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), and Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS). Theory of operation, materials, and post processing methods are covered including hands-on machine operation in this lecture/lab course.

1. describe PBF technologies

2. demonstrate machine safety and proper material handling

4. operate SLS and DMLS printers

5. postprocess SLS and DMLS parts

6. turnover SLS and DMLS machines

7. recycle powders for reuse
