ADM 1790 - Independent Study in ADM Credits: 1-2 Hours/Week: Lecture 0 Lab 1-2 Course Description: This variable-credit elective course emphasizes the student’s independent search for advanced knowledge as well as additional hands-on skills beyond current ADM course offerings. The student and instructor will devise a formal plan of study to satisfy credit workload requirements within the semester timeline. Students may repeat this course if the topic of study and formal plan is different.
Prerequisite(s): Instructor consent and at least one of the following ADM courses:
ADM 1010, ADM 2010, ADM 1025 or ADM 1053

Major Content To be determined by the student and instructor on an individual basis. Learning Outcomes At the end of this course students will be able to:
- demonstrate advanced knowledge of the subject area identified in the learning plan
- explain results of the independent study in a formal presentation to the instructor
- support on-campus collaborations between ADM and other programs
- reflect on personal growth in the subject area identified in the plan.
