ORTE 1020 - Introduction to the Orthotic Lab and Basic Hand Skills Credits: 5 Hours/Week: Lecture 2 Lab 6 Course Description: This course introduces the role of the orthotic technician and the safety practices and habits required by the profession. Students will be presented with the tools, equipment, materials, and components commonly used in orthotic fabrication. Lab work concentrates on basic metal-working skills necessary to fabricate a properly functioning orthotic device. MnTC Goals None
