Program Description
The Automotive Body Technician Diploma is designed to expose students to all facets of the auto body industry: unibody and frame, computer estimating, damage analysis, refinishing, and major structure repair. The Diploma prepares students to meet the collision industry’s expectations of a quality entry-level technician. 
Program Prerequisites
Course placement into ENGL 0950  and RDNG 0950  or above OR completion of RDNG 0940  with a grade of C or higher OR course placement into ESOL 0051  and ESOL 0052  and ESOL 1033  OR completion of ESOL 0041  with a grade of C or higher and ESOL 0042  with a grade of C or higher and ESOL 0043  with a grade of C or higher.

Program Learning Outcomes At the end of this program students will be able to:   - Students are able to measure, mix, and apply paints, primers, and sealers.
  - Students are able to measure, mix, and apply body fillers.
  - Students are able to hang, fit, and adjust body and interior panels.
  - Students are able to perform auto body mechanical and electrical repairs.
  - Students are able to evaluate and estimate collision damage and repairs.
  - Students are prepared to take the ASE certification tests in the following areas: Painting and Refinishing, Non-Structural Analysis and Damage Repair, Structural Analysis and Damage Repair, Mechanical and Electrical Components, and Damage Analysis and Estimating Certificate Test.
  - Students are able to begin a career as an entry-level technician in the collision industry.
