Program Description
Identity and access management (IAM) is a discipline in Cybersecurity and business discipline that “enables the right entity or individuals to access the right resources at the right times and for the right reasons.” It deals with the need to ensure appropriate access to resources across increasingly heterogeneous technology environments and to meet increasingly rigorous compliance requirements. Identity is not just the new perimeter anymore, Identity is the perimeter and consequently security. The explosion of cloud computing, SaaS, IoT, and mobile computing has completely destroyed the old, fortress-style model of security that was based on network security, firewalls, and VPNs.
This certificate provides an in-depth hands-on overview of the field of Identity Security and Access Management and related security components to enable effective design and implementation of a secured IAM architecture. This certificate provides students with an opportunity to explore identity/access to control access to Cloud resource, eliminating vulnerabilities in identification and authentication processes, compromising multiple identities, exploiting Object ID identities, making identities portable with Secure Tokens, and examining on-premises and cloud-based identity security management.
