Program Description
The Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) is the general education curriculum for the Minnesota State system. Completion of this defined transfer curriculum at one institution enables a student to receive credit for all lower division general education upon admission to any other Minnesota public institution.
Once completed, a notation of MnTC completion can be added to the official transcript. The MnTC is primarily intended for students who plan to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree. Students planning to complete the entire Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) are recommended to consult the Associate in Arts Degree for more details. Many courses in Goals 1-6 will also fulfill requirements in Goals 7-10.

Transfer, Articulation Agreements, and Partnerships
See the Century College website for information regarding transfer. This program is designed for transfer. An agreement with Minnesota State provides that Century College’s Associate in Arts Degree or MnTC will satisfy all of the lower-division general education requirements of any of the state universities. Individual MnTC courses will transfer into the same goal at any Minnesota State college or university. If the entire goal is completed at one Minnesota State institution, that goal will be considered complete at any other Minnesota State institution. Documentation of the goal completion, as in a DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System) report from the sending college, is required. An agreement with the University of Minnesota provides that an Associate in Arts Degree or MnTC will satisfy the Liberal Education requirements. Century also has agreements with private and out-of-state schools including Augsburg College, College of St. Scholastica, Concordia University-St. Paul, North Dakota State University, St. Catherine University, University of Wisconsin-River Falls, University of Wisconsin-Stout, and University of North Dakota that facilitate transfer of the AA degree and MnTC. These agreements do not guarantee the transfer of every course. Contact your advisor or counselor for assistance to develop a transfer plan.
