The Web Design AAS Degree prepares students for careers in web design. The program places a strong emphasis on creativity and design. Students are introduced to front and development concepts. Using industry standard software, students learn to build content in HTML5, CSS3 and other modern web languages. A host of web development frameworks along with working knowledge and understanding of modern web design trends, UI/UX, responsive design and the implementation of iterative design processes are explored to better equip students with the skills necessary to execute their designs and compete for jobs designing and developing websites in the web design industry.
Transfer, Articulation Agreements, and Partnerships
See the Century College website for information regarding transfer.
This program is intended primarily for employment preparation rather than transfer to a four-year institution. Some courses may not transfer to a number of four-year colleges. If you are considering the possibility of transfer, you may wish to talk with your advisor, counselor, or program instructor before registering to discuss your goals, look at programs designed for transfer, and develop a plan. Articulation agreements exist with Bemidji State University, Metropolitan State University, and Minnesota State University - Moorhead.
