Program Description

This program is intended to prepare students to enter the solar industry’s sales and marketing sector. Graduates will be prepared to work for companies that serve the residential and small commercial markets as well as third party community solar firms. This program will prepare students to take the entry level NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) exam.

Program Learning Outcomes

At the end of this program students will be able to:

  • Develop multiple marketing strategies and customer acquisition processes
  • Communicate with prospective customers during initial contact interviews
  • Understand the importance of and how to use safety equipment and procedures
  • Perform site specific analysis to determine solar design and system feasibility
  • Develop financial and financing presentations for customers
  • Communicate the benefits of solar projects
  • Use industry software packages for sales and customer database processes
