MATH 0961 - Bridge to College Algebra I

Course Description: This corequisite course provides instruction and support to help students succeed in MATH 1061 , College Algebra I. The focus of the course is reviewing fundamental algebraic processes and then appropriately applying those processes in a problem-solving environment. Emphasis is placed on the skills needed to achieve the learning outcomes for MATH 1061 . The main objectives are to provide just-in-time support for the math concepts taught in College Algebra I, and to provide help with study skills, time management, and confidence. Students will receive extra support in arithmetic, algebra, problem solving, and technology. This course includes the use of graphing technology. All students registered for MATH 0961 must be concurrently enrolled in the paired section of MATH 1061 .
