ORTE 2075 - Emerging Technologies in Orthotic Care Credits: 4 Hours/Week: Lecture 1 Lab 6 Internship hours per week 0 Course Description: This course covers the requirements and responsibilities of a certified orthotic technician. Simulated patient scenarios will direct the student to perform device modification, adjustment, repair, or replacement and document in the medical record. Scenarios will include a variety of orthotic prescriptions that require critical thinking and technical skills to optimize the fit and function of orthotic devices. A self-directed, advanced project is required. MnTC Goals None
