OFFT 2012 - Medical Office: Disease Concepts

Course Description: This course is intended for students interested in medical office careers. It is an overview of the language and nature of disease and its treatment. This course will cover disease conditions organized by body systems.

  1. define the fundamental nature of disease.
  2. identify the etiology and signs and symptoms of common disease conditions
  3. explain the diagnostic treatment modalities, prevention, and prognoses of common disease conditions
  4. identify medical references to research common diseases and conditions to stay current with trends and developments in medicine.
  5. define the principles of infection.
