Program Description

The 3D Modeling and Animation AAS degree prepares students for 3D content development careers throughout a variety of industries including Game Development, Film and Visual Effects, Forensic and Medical Animation, and many others. This program provides the comprehensive skills of 3D animation, modeling, texturing, visual effects, concept art, and character rigging that can be used in a variety of applications. Emphasis is on providing the valuable technical, conceptual, and design skills necessary for those wishing to obtain a position as a 3D artist.

This program is part of the Visual Communications Careers (VCC) area and is designed to provide you with the skills you need to enter a career once you have completed the degree. Although the A.A.S. degree is not designed for transfer to a four-year school, your general education and liberal arts courses typically do transfer.
