Program Learning Outcomes

At the end of this program students will be able to:

1. Describe key concepts and overarching themes in the field of sociology
2. Analyze the role of organizations and institutions in social interactions and processes
3. Apply sociological concepts to real and hypothetical scenarios
4. Describe how sociologists engage in scientific inquiry to answer empirical research questions
5. Analyze the role of social inequality and stratification in social interactions and processes
6. Analyze how sociological principles apply to diverse populations
7. Communicate knowledge of sociological principles through various methods, such as verbally, in writing, or through formal presentations.
