ECAD 2053 - Introduction to SolidWorks Credits: 3 Hours/Week: Lecture 1 Lab 4 Course Description: Students will use SolidWorks software to sketch, create, edit, and dimension 3D solid models, as well as create 2D drawings from these models. Assembly modeling and 2D & 3D printing are also covered. A hands-on approach is used in this class in an effort to build a foundation for continued training and self-instruction. MnTC Goals None
Prerequisite(s): ECAD 1020 or ENGR 1020 or instructor consent. Corequisite(s): None Recommendation: ECAD 1070 and course placement into MATH 0070 /MATH 1015 or above or completion of MATH 0030 with a grade of C or higher.
