HIST 2053 - Southeast Asia and the Vietnam War Credits: 3 Hours/Week: Lecture 3 Lab 0 Internship hours per week 0 Course Description: This is a course about the wars that ravaged mainland Southeast Asia during the second half of the twentieth-century, with a particular focus on the specific experiences of different ethnic groups within these conflicts. Topics include colonialism and resistance, independence movements, ethnic conflict, anti-colonial wars, Hmong and other refugee migrations, and contemporary Southeast Asia.
